about

If there's one thing we all want to do in these tough times it's "Avoid Coronavirus." This is a funny parody song that reflects the importance of taking necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Forgo sharing your germs, but please share song! "Avoid Coronavirus" is an early release (90s alternative rock version) for BTV - Beyond The Virus, Susan's 5th album that'll be released in December.

The version of this original song that'll be included on the BTV album of world music will have Scottish bag pipes and violin and represent the UK, in particular a tribute to the Scottish people.

Here is a fun hammy version for kids + kids-at-heart: lilfurbabyhammy.bandcamp.com/track/avoid-coronavirus-hammy-version

lyrics

“Avoid Coronavirus” – © Susan B. B. Schabacker

If we want to avoid coronavirus
It’s time for us to get serious
Wash your hands constantly
Enough time from A to G

Cover your mouth when you sneeze (achoo!)
It could be transferred in the very breeze
Don’t touch your face or don’t go any place
Please stay home don’t go out and roam

I know you feel alone
But it’s best to just stay home
You can pick up the phone
When you’re feeling alone

Video chat
Is where it is at
No need to pout
You can order take out

Order your groceries online
Heed that stupid stupid quarantine
You can go to the park
But stay at least 6 feet apart

We must all do our part
It’s not too late to start
Makes sense to wear a mask
It’s a simple task

Alcohol your countertops
Don’t forget to use a mop
Remember stay at least 6 feet away
And you could save the day

We willl get through this tough time
Now here’s another rhyme

We will get through this together
No matter how hard it is to weather
We will not be afraid
No we will stay brave

We will get through it all
Now that’s a good call

Our lives will improve
In the end we will not lose
It’s all in what we choose
